A landmark exhibition organized by the Bauhaus Archiv in Berlin at the Museum für Fotografie presents an extensive survey of works by women photographers of the Bauhaus. Some - Lucia Mohology, Marianne Brandt, Ise Gropius, Florence Henri - have become well-known, but most have not. The first section of the exhibition includes portraits (including many-self-portraits), almost exclusively of women, while later sections focus on architectural photography, portraits of other cultures, and experimental and abstract photography. Please note that this is a public tour in English; however, the more CAA participants sign up early, the more it becomes "our" tour. The cost of the tour, which lasts approximately one hour, is 6€, plus admission to the exhibition (12€ or a valid annual pass, membership card, etc.). To book the tour, go to the website of the Museum für Fotografie, click on "Veranstaltungen," scroll down to June 27, click on "Between Camera and Society: A New Look at the Women Photographers of the Bauhaus (in English),"and click on "Buchen" to select the number of tickets. The works exhibited are from the collection of the Bauhaus Archiv, which is currently closed as the historic Gropius building is restored and a new addition is completed. The Museum für Fotografie is located directly behind Bahnhof Zoo at Jebensstraße 2.
