The Weimar Republic was the golden age of German cinema, and its unsung heroes are the architects who designed the extraordinary sets, many of them masterpieces of German Expressionism. The Tchoban Foundation, which specializes in architectural drawing, is currently presenting a superb loan exhibition of original set designs for such films as "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari," "Metropolis," and "M." We will have a private tour in English, lasting approximately one hour. Cost is 7€, payable at the door, and includes both entrance to the exhibition and the tour. An excellent bilingual (German-English) catalogue of the exhibition is available in the museum shop.
