The upcoming Constantin Brancusi retrospective at the Neue Nationalgalerie is the first such exhibition in fifty years in Germany. With over 150 sculptures and other works, from the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris (currently closed for renovation) as well as loans from private collections, it presents the full extent of Brancusi's oeuvre. There will also be a partial reconstruction of Brancusi's atelier, which is usually on view at the Centre Pompidou. We will participate in an English-language tour of the exhibition on Saturday, March 28. To secure your ticket for the tour, google "Public Tour Brancusi (en)," select the date, and then scroll down to "Booking." The tour costs 6€. Additionally, you will need to buy an entrance ticket for the exhibition itself if you do not otherwise have free admission (Friend of the Nationalgalerie, Member of the Kaiser Friedrich Museumsverein, etc.). Meeting point is the ticket/information desk. Note that this is a public tour, not limited to the CAA Berlin; however, if past experience is a guide, we can make this "our" tour by signing up quickly.
