Bauhaus Centennial Exhibition in Berlin

A hundred years ago the Bauhaus was founded in Weimar, and, although it lasted only fourteen years - in Weimar, Dessau, and Berlin - its influence in the design world is as strong today as ever.  In this centennial year there have been a number of Bauhaus-related exhibitions, but the blockbuster is "Original Bauhaus," organized by the Bauhaus Archiv and held at the Berlinische Galerie, Alte Jakobstraße 124-128 in Kreuzberg (U-Bhf Spittelmarkt, Hallesches Tor, or Prinzenstraße, Bus M29 to Waldeckpark).  The exhibition, with loans from major collections around the world, presents icons of Bauhaus design as well as works by long-forgotten professors and students.  To kick off the new year, we will have a private tour of the exhibition, in English, on Sunday, January 12, 2020, at 1:45 p.m.  Please purchase your exhibition entrance ticket (12€) either on-line at berlinischegalerie.seetickets.com/promoter/berlinische-galerie/3781/calendar or at the museum.  The additional charge for the tour will depend on the number of participants (between 5 and 10€) and will be collected at the time of the tour.  The tour is limited to 25 participants, so please RSVP promptly to ensure your place.
